All 26 of my violins have been re-united and will be on display at The Grateful Vineyard in Parkdale, Oregon, from July 25 through July 30, ending with an afternoon of free fiddle music under the tent from 2 – 6 PM on Saturday, July 30.
Brigid’s Crossing, featuring violinists Jill and Kayleigh Foley, mother a daughter, with their husband/father Kevin on guitar, will be playing their mix of Celtic/Bluegrass/American folk from 2 – 3:30 PM. At 4 PM, world-renowned violinist and vocalist Michelle Alany will be joined by Mike Danner on accordion and Andrew Alikhanov on clarinet. They will be playing Michelle’s signature versions of global music: soulful interpretations of traditional and original Sephardic (Judeo-Spanish), Balkan and Israeli songs infused with her tasty Austin-blues stylings.
Throughout the week, I will be doing violin making demonstrations, as well as interpretive dance and finger-puppeteering, time permitting.
